Special crimes detectives arrested Mara L. 14 and charged her with assault and battery on a child as well as assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of rape of a child, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reported. Thirty five year old Mara Escobar pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of assault and rape of a child in Worcester court Monday.

Her next court date is Dec. 1

According to police the teenager’s bedroom was sparse with bare walls, a bureau and a single bed with a blanket and sheet, while Escobar’s two daughters’ room had televisions, DVD players, video games and toys.

The girl was allegedly slammed to the floor, kicked and punched.
