Stop the Press: Poll Results

For those who didn’t understand the actual meaning of the AP poll on race: the results only indicate that Obama has a 6% handicap because of his race, so when you see a poll like the one this article discusses it is not logical to compare the results of the two polls as if they were talking about the same thing.

I find is laughable and quite disconcerting that readers actually think that a major newspaper would fabricate the results of a poll or conduct a poll in an unethical manner. Admittedly, it may have been more appropriate for The Post to report other polls in conjunction with their results given the disparity among polls. Republicans only get upset about poll results when the polls lean towards the Democrat.

VERY early poll results from CNN show Obama winning the 2nd debate 54 to 3

She said the system of delivering the results was safe because the marked ballots could only be accessed by returning officers at the district level.

The MICC has been designed as the central place where election results from all the districts will be announced and given to the public through the media who will also be at the centre.

These results are updated on a 24/7 basis by market participants.

While both VP candidates register a high level of voter disdain, Biden invokes less apprehension than Palin does. If you look at the registered voters, Obama has a 10-pt lead, so if the Post-ABC poll is biased, then what about the news sources that are counting a 9 pt lead, when in fact the 9 pt lead is among likely voters? In national surveys, McCain leads by 2 points, 47 percent to 45 percent, according to CNN’s poll of polls released Monday night.

The media has been playing up McCain for months.

I have been reading and diiging and found some very scary things about Sen. This morning National Public Radio says that its poll shows Obama and McCain even in the swing states. They don’t even poll people with cell phones and that’s Obama’s largest base. A new Washington Post-ABC News poll gives Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama a nine-point lead over Republican nominee John McCain.

In the poll of polls, presently, Obama is leading by 4% nationally, which means NADA, since the elections are state by state. Nobody has ever polled me, I don’t know anyone who’s ever been polled, they seem to change every day and I see no reason to place any value on them.

No bundles, no uber authority. That’s why there is the category, POLL OF POLLS, in which the total of all the polls are used, to try to get a big enough volume of polling. Actually, I think that most people who “doubt the polling” do so because the poll doesn’t support their “team”. At the time, nearly 65% of people polled in a CNN poll indicted that “things are going either moderately badly or very badly in Iraq. Polls are just giant guesses and often lean one way or the other simply by the way the question is asked or what demographic is polled.

You have to look at individual state polls to really find out anything.

Wow, it seems that people forget what a poll is and how it works. It’s funny, I remember when the polls showed MCain up by 2% points I claimed the polls were wrong too. I am reminded of a TV Guide cartoon from many years ago where the wife is on a phone in the background shouting to her husband that “it’s those Nielson guys on the phone again and they want to know what we’re watching,” and the huband answers “tell them McNeil-Lehrer” while the next panel shows Archie and Edith singing “Those Were The Days I think that poll data is clearly skewed, that can happen when you poll a specific demographic trying to reach the conclusion you are looking for.

When the Republican Vice Presidential nominee is criticized for experience, but has MORE than the Democratic PRESIDENTIAL nominee, then the Presidential nominee has NO chance.

Those contesting the presidency are acting President, Rupiah Banda, who is standing on the MMD ticket, and the Patriotic Front leader, Michael Sata. First update: MediaCurves in a poll of 1001 people reports that Republicans thought McCain won the debate 68 to 20; Democrats thought Obama won the debate 84 to 10; Independents thought Obama won the debate 52 to 3 Second update: On the CBS web site a poll of 516 people showed Obama winning 40% to McCain’s 26% with 34% calling the debate a draw. Obama won the debate in California voters’ eyes 56% to 2 In Washington Obama wins the poll of those who watched the debate 54% to 2

I was still unable to find a Fox poll, but the web site has a number of pundit analyses. CNN also reported that a CBS poll of undecided voters showed an Obama advantage of 39 to McCain’s 27, remaining voters unchanged.
