Stop the Press: Maya Soetoro Ng

Like her half-brother Barack Obama, Soetoro-Ng attended the private Punahou School. in Education from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa in 200 Soetoro-Ng married Konrad Ng of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, a Chinese Canadian assistant professor at the University of Hawaii’s Academy of Creative Media at the end of 2003 in Hawaii. Earliier this year, the family began campaigning for Obama’s presidential campaign in Hawaii.

After the marriage failed, a 6-year-old Obama left Hawaii to spend four years in Indonesia with his mother and Indonesian stepfather, Lolo Soetoro.
