This is a great fight for both of these guys. Hamill needs to avoid standing and banging with Franklin, and needs to take him down and dominate him, try to win by GnP.
Franklin last competed at 205 pounds at The Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale in April 2005. Worth noting is that Franklin and Hamill are both prominent sponsored athletes of American Fighter.
This is a bad match-up for Franklin. I personally would like him to stay at Middleweight.
I wouldn’t call Hamill one of the best fighters in the UFC right yet. I do agree the Rich will win and just because he fights at 185 and is a beast hes jumping up to a more comfortable weight and he still is gonna be one of the bigger fights even if its just every once in awhile.
Anderson Silva is fighting Irvin which is a mid level fighter. Let Rich, Vera, and Silva get their feet under them in 205 then throw wand or t Silva at them.”
Rich should have no problem with this fight, but that is weird for him to be going to 205 as well with Anderson. Rich will overwhelm him with power,punches and stuffing his takedown attempts”and therefore; Rich by Technical Knockout or Knockout in the 1st round.

Franklin is a huge middleweight & his size advantage has factored in to his success. He loses that advantage at LHW, and making things worse, he’s fighting someone that is supposedly insanely strong.

Yeah, Rich won’t be cutting much weight as he is MOVING UP a weight division.” A lot of critics said they went back and watched the Bisping vs Hamill without commentary and if you really paid attention and watched which punches landed you could make an arguement that Bisping took rounds 2 and 3.
I decided to go back and do the same and my opinion, Hamill round 1, Bisping without question round 2 and Hamill round 3.
The funny thing is the judge that gave it to Hamill was the only English judge and the 2 americans gave it to Bisping. I don’t care if you are American or British Hamill lost that fight nearly a year ago i bet he doesn’t still moan and moan about losing like some of the little girls on this sight and many others,you really want to learn to suck it up a little and get over it.
This is a fight that intrigues the hell out of me. If Hamill could fight Bisping so tough, I wouldn’t count him out against Franklin.
Franklin has better striking, submissions and has more experience, but Hamill is incredibly strong and has awesome wrestling.

I am giving the edge to franklin. Franklin is in another class.however, props to the UFC for, once again, doing a great job of promotion and making me think twice about my prediction.
