I agree with the MSNBC senior staff member, who observed that ?Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann have been behaving like heroin addicts. I am a Democrat, used to watch MSNBC, but I have stayed away from the Obama network for a long while due to its biased coverage of political news events.
Olbermann is so pro Obama it was so hard to watch if you want an unbiased opinion. This country needed the balance of Olbermann and Matthews to call you morons out, but its okay, the media has awoken from their seven year coma.
Each time it is, the big shots at the head of the network must be experiencing something somewhat similar. The whining Andrea Mitchell and Brian Williams are also known for their unkind remarks, albeit their voices don’t carry the same degree of acid as Keith and Chris.
To have Keith “DailyKos” Olbermann do it was insulting to the intelligence. I’ve always liked Matthews and I’m sad Keitho pulled him into the mud with him.
Olbermann is a pompous delusional wierdo sociopath who thinks he is the reincarnation of Edward R. The MSNBC feak show was entertaining for awile but it was starting to get very bizarre, hence the precipitous drop in ratings this year.
MSNBC still has Matthews and Olbermann and Maddow as well. Matthews and Olbermann still have their own shows where they can act as what they are: pundits, not anchors.
Olbermann has some sort of mental disorder. him and Matthews is more of a comedy duo than a news team.
Matthews and Olbermann are intelligent and commentaries that can see through the political noise. MSNBC can now be proud of having Pat Buchanan with his “fair and balanced” opinions.
Despite Matthews & Olbermann getting the boot from hosting the election coverage.
Does this mean that Williams and Brokaw have learned that they have lost all credibility because of the clowns Matthews and Olbermann.
Imagine O’Reilly & Hannity being disciplined for their extreme bias. Olbermann & Matthews tell the truth and they stand up and against the FOX smear machine and they get silenced.
I love the excuses for Olbermann and Matthews .

I am a true fan of Mr. Matthews’ flawed reaction was to try and compete for the attention of MSNBC senior management as he too sensed a vacuum and refused to let Olbermann one-up him.

You just nailed the differences between Matthews and Olbermann quite succinctly. It’s also why I can frequently disagree with Chris but still have some respect for him and what he does, unlike with Olbermann .

About 24 hours after dissing dissing Joe Scarborough via an open microphone during Monday’s coverage of the Democratic National Convention, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann took an insulting poke at partner Chris Matthews.

Some bloggers saw animosity between the two during the campaign coverage of late. First of all, I dont see Chris Matthews in the same league as Keith Olberman. We had to start putting him on mute during the conventions.
Evidently Olberman and Matthews couldn’t distinguish the difference between hard news and circus act commentary. Matthews and Olberman have their regular shows, and now they won’t have to deal with who they are stuck with on some panel.
Even Brokaw & Williams couldn’t defend the network anymore. I don’t mind Matthews, but Olberman is such a smug jerk I’m glad to see his ilk reduced to his old show again and leave the Politics to the professionals.
We stopped watching anything on MSNBC months ago after the obvious bias of Matthews I felt a tingle up my leg and Olberman.
I am so glad these two jokes got the boot. I must confess, I was slightly saddened that Olberman took down Matthews with him because I do feel that he tried to regain his credibility somewhat after he was called out.

I hope Andrea Mitchell is sacked for being a hack today on Matthews show - she was gushing over Palin in a very interesting way. I knew she was a Republican but had no idea.
Matthews has the attention span of a six-year-old. Both are capable at detecting political frauds in the Republican party, but are blind to them in the Democratic one.
I don’t get that same feeling of hatred toward what America represents from Matthews. Not that Matthews is not political or biased, but he at least has decency.

As the campaign coverage waned late into the evening, Matthews was interviewing Barack Obama supporter Kirk Watson , and was trying to get the Texas state senator to list some of the Illinois senator’s legislative accomplishments.
