The Academy classes are organized in an inverted pyramid, with small sections (of 20 students each) feeding into medium-sized sections (of 40–60 students each), which then feed into a large section (of 120 students each). The mid-sized section, by design, is a Book of Mormon class. Each class fulfills a general education requirement and is taught by a faculty member who spends extra time getting to know the students by eating with them periodically, arranging field trips, coordinating activities and assignments with other Academy faculty, organizing study sessions, and, in general, building a sense of community and fellowship. 5
