Interesting Info: Matt Millen Fired

“Matt Millen Fired”

I’m not even sure that if by some miracle, the Lions make it to the Super Bowl should they be given any credit.

I just thought you guys would like to know that at the NFL experience, the powers that be decided that it would benefit the Lions to have a large picture of the team for fans to take pictures with.

I have to say, Rod is showing some cajones being ticked off on the Lions not being able to land middle linebacker Takeo Spikes.

Matthew George Millen was a professional American football executive in the National Football League, where he was President and CEO of the Detroit Lions.

It is not out of the question for a new general manager to get the Lions to the playoffs in two or three years.

Detroit Lions fans have united across the country to say they are not happy with their team.

Wow, what a great past couple of days we Lions fans have had!

Entries and Comments.

I started FireMillen.com before the “Fire Millen” message was suddenly the most popular thing in Detroit and I will be keeping this updated far into the future, even when Millen is fired.

Rumors are swirling around the Detroit Lions practice facility in Allen Park that something is going on with president Matt Millen.

The NFL is also a league where things can change very quickly.

In Millen’s 12-year NFL playing career, he played on four Super Bowl-winning teams.

While my buddies and I stood there, fan after fan kept coming by and choking Matt Millen as you can see by the attached photo.

I haven’t been able to find out what Spikes is getting from the 49’rs but he is going to play the strong side and team up with 2nd year linebacker Patrick Willis.

He also provided game analysis for the radio broadcasts of Monday Night Football, working alongside Howard David on CBS ’s Westwood One radio network.

Despite the team’s poor record under Millen, a number of high first-round draft picks who were widely considered colossal failures , and widespread disappointment among fans, the media, and even some players, Millen received a five-year contract extension from owner William Clay Ford, Sr. at the start of the 2005 season.

No credit should go to Millen for this year Lion’s season…no credit should go to William Clay Ford either.

Dizon is a better fit for MLB but the Tampa 2 is a complicated defense and the Lions feel that Lenon will be able to handle the MLB duties until Dizon is ready to switch.

From anyone that knows me, I’ve written plenty about the true issue of the Lions…the King roach himself has done absolutely nothing to bring home an NFL Championship since he plunked down $4.5 million in 1964.

Angry Lions fans organizing a Fire Millen protest in 2005.

In the age of a salary cap and free agency, the General Manager position has become 10-times as important as the old days.

So we’d have yet another one and done playoff run, Matt Millen will claim himself as savior of NFL Football in Detroit, Ford Sr. will be so impressed, he’ll give Millen another 5-year extension at $10 million dollars.

Following the team’s 3-13 performance in 2006, Ford announced that Millen would be retained as General Manager for at least another season.

But a Martz offense wasn’t working since A. Martz loves a 7 step drop, B. The Lions had no evident running game and C. Matt Millen doesn’t have a clue on how to evaluate talent or manage the salary cap.

“This team is atrocious and Matt Millen is a walking football atrocity.

One or both of these players would have improved the defense enough that I might have given the Lions the edge to take the NFC North.

They are proving that they belong in the NFL and no longer can be considered the laughing stock of the league.

The starting three games of the schedule were three of the easiest games of the year.

I do not expect William Clay Ford to sack Matt after giving him a five-year contract extension at the beginning of the year.

Matt Millen and the Fords are paying attention to what we have to say because it is being pushed in their faces.
