Dobson’s first album, Fefe Dobson, was released on December 9, 2003 by Island Records which has sold 304,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Fefe Dobson is my favorite artist, and her unreleased album, Sunday Love, which I’ve managed to get to listen to despite it being unreleased, is my favorite album. I just hope the same thing doesn’t happen with this new album that happened with Sunday Love.
Sunday Love will not be released due to Dobson being unable to obtain rights to the album. The album was reviewed in both Spin and Vibe Magazine, receiving 4/5 from Vibe magazine who loved the new sarcastic rocker approach Fefe adopted for this album. Unfortunately, her label didn’t like the image switch and made her re-record songs on Sunday Love before dropping her days before the album was due to be released.
