After last year”s completely disastrous but memorable performance of ” Gimme at the MTV Video Music Awards, a new hotter Britney Spears is set to make a big comeback.
LALATE told you earlier this week it hears chatter that Spears has an open offer up to two weeks before showtime to perform “Piece of Me” nominated for a VMA.
IF Brit is going to perform, I think Britney should give us a secret agent setting performance to “Break the Ice” and show us what she can do. Come up with something memorable and a hint of what is to come with her new album.
Whoa, Tate. I really don’t care about Britney, but it was so disturbing to see her self-destruct right in the public eye that it kinda makes me happy to see that she has turned her life back around.
Uh, one problem with your idea, Tate. She sounds like a dying animal.
Britney is indeed talented and extremely entertaining. Britney uses her public forum to apologize to everyone who has been forced to listen to her music over the last decade, promises to completely retire from singing/performing/reality showing/exposing her crotch for the paparazzi, and pledges to donate all her future royalties to female singer/songwriters who actually DESERVE that kind of money, like Patty Griffin and Kathleen Edwards.
Especially when Britney has to now compete with the incredible dancing of people like Ciara.
RayT, sorry to tell you but MOST people knew Madonna and Britney were going to sing together that year, the surprise was Christina because rumor has it it was a Latina and everybody thought it was J-Lo.

Wait - I stand corrected: She was once good at holding snakes and lip-syncing to her over-processed studio vocals.
I really think that she should just put all of her past vma performances together. then come with a new one to ‘i got a plan’.
Maybe a bit dark, but I think it’s just what the VMA’s, the tabloids, the pervs, and the haters all need. If she’s truly past all of her stuff, what a beautiful f-you to everyone that performance would be.
It really has become a tabloid nation.
