Boring: Obama Transition Team
McCain, in contrast, appears willing to tackle important aspects of his potential transition in real time. With 100 or so days before the next president takes office, Obama’s transition effort has been organized into roughly a dozen teams of six to eight people to plot out the approach for each agency, according to a Democratic official. An aide confirms that Podesta will probably be asked to head the transition team, which would take over from the campaign if Obama wins in November, and would be tasked with ensuring a smooth handover of power. McCain’s advisors say that he doesn’t need a transition team or a foreign policy group because he already knows everything; having foreign policy advisors for McCain, they say, would be like Tiger Woods having a golf coach. McCain does not need a transition team. McCain is also working on a transition team. McCain starting a transition team is like Pauly Shore building a case for the oscars he’s going to win. McSAME doesn’t need a transition team. I mean it should be obvious to a sane person that you have to set up this transition team b/c there’s a 50/50 chance that you could be taking over the WH.

Operatives of Soros’ Center for American Progress have been running the Obama campaign, now Jammie Wearing Fool lays out how they’re running the Obama “transition team” for the White House. McCain doesn’t need a transition team, as he expects to keep the current team in place.
